Puraflex is a single-part polyurethane adhesive made by Everbuild Sika. It is perfect for your fibreglass flat roof, by bonding the trims to the roof and to the baton around the roof you ensure that the trim is fully stuck down with damage caused by screws and clout nails. The Polyurethane adhesive also keeps the flexibility needed when cured. fast easy to use and permanent. Also used for Joints, joining trims and corners, as an explanation adhesive, between boards and gaps and even replacing mortar. The product is manufactured by Everbuild Sika in the U.K, it is an extremely high-quality adhesive sealant as you would expect from Sika the manufactures of Sikaflex and other leading polyurethane products

Puraflex pu40 is a premium polyurethane adhesive and can be used for most applications that require a permanent bond, as a polyurethane it works extremely well bonding the fibreglass trim to the boards and the baton without and damage or loss of flexibility to the trim.

Fibreglass Trims are pre-molded profiles that are bonded to the roof prior to laying the fibreglass. Trim packs of any 10 x trims offer excellent value. Trims are manufactured with one side with a matt slightly rough finish this is to help the Fibreglass layer and the Topcoat to bond really well, as with the resin some other manufacturers overlook this really crucial detail, our fibreglass roofing trims have been tested and modified to ensure the best adhesion without any further sanding.

Fibreglass trims are also known as Fibreglass roof profiles, G.R.P Trims, roofing profiles, fibreglass roofing profiles, and other variations of these names. We would recommend as with all the materials you avoid seconds or non-graded products, unfortunately, not all products are the same even though the name is very similar. Fibregass flat roofing offers protection against all weather conditions, a very long life, maintenance-free with a AA Fire Certificate and a 25-year warranty.

The Topcoat is the end coat and is the part that is going to see all the foot traffic, the weather changes, hot summers, cold winters, ice, snow and rain. This is why at The Fibreglass Shop we only sell our premium Isophthalic base Topcoat, this offers up to 25% more durability than standard Topcoat, it also offers up to 45% better adhesion and is far more resistant against surface heat and chemicals including tree sap, pollution and the Uric Acid in bird waste.

Our Topcoat when used with our resin, trims, and chopped strand matting gives you a AA Fire Certificate, it also comes in a non slip formula, dark grey is the most popular colour for roofing and the best value, however, we can supply other colours please call us for details

Topcoat is a fast reaction product and should be mixed with 2% Catalyst, we recommend that you do not topcoat after 3pm. When used with our wax-free resin you can Topcoat without sanding between the fibreglass layer and the topcoat, this is far less work and more importantly, it removes the possibility of damaging the fibreglass reinforcement. Even with sanding a waxed resin, you will not be able to remove the wax in the uneven surface of the chopped strand mat without damaging the laminate. Our roofing system with the wax free resin and Isophthalic Topcoat has up to 80%  better adhesion between layers, and can be used from sheds to porches, to hotels and can be used with extra reinforcement for roof gardens.
