We always recommend that puraflex is used on your roof and should be included in your fibreglass flat roofing kit. Puraflex is recommended for bonding the fibreglass trim to the roof, bonding the trims will ensure that the trim is bonded across the 3m length as opposed to nails that can damage the trim,, puraflex pu40 can also be used as an expansion adhesive between the boards, puraflex pu40 is polyurethane adhesive sealant and should be used to bond the trims to the baton along the roof.

Puraflex is a premium grade polyurethane adhesive sealant, It is a permanent bond that has a slight amount of flexibility that allows movement this makes it ideal on boats, caravans, building and even plastics, Puraflex offers a bond that will even outperform epoxy adhesives.

The fibreglass flat roof in the picture shows the 1st stage completed and is a good example of fibreglass trims being used., the trims used are bonded to the roof using polyurethane sealant adhesive, the roof looks great with the trims giving a uniformed professional result, however its not just looks trims have an important purpose., you can see the expansion trims in the middle, the wall fillet to allow the different thermal movement between the existing wall and the deck, drip trims to fo in to the gutter, and the raised edge trim create a parapet effect and are angled to push water onto the body of the roof and not down the sides of the building.
