The Topcoat is the end coat and is the part that is going to see all the foot traffic, the weather changes, hot summers, cold winters, ice, snow and rain. This is why at The Fibreglass Shop we only sell our premium Isophthalic base Topcoat, this offers up to 25% more durability than standard Topcoat, it also offers up to 45% better adhesion and is far more resistant against surface heat and chemicals including tree sap, pollution and the Uric Acid in bird waste.

Our Topcoat when used with our resin, trims, and chopped strand matting gives you a AA Fire Certificate, it also comes in a non slip formula, dark grey is the most popular colour for roofing and the best value, however, we can supply other colours please call us for details

Topcoat is a fast reaction product and should be mixed with 2% Catalyst, we recommend that you do not topcoat after 3pm. When used with our wax-free resin you can Topcoat without sanding between the fibreglass layer and the topcoat, this is far less work and more importantly, it removes the possibility of damaging the fibreglass reinforcement. Even with sanding a waxed resin, you will not be able to remove the wax in the uneven surface of the chopped strand mat without damaging the laminate. Our roofing system with the wax free resin and Isophthalic Topcoat has up to 80%  better adhesion between layers, and can be used from sheds to porches, to hotels and can be used with extra reinforcement for roof gardens.
